Ok so I was driving the other day and I hit the gas and my car moves but has no power going on behind it. It sounds like the clutch and fells like the clutch is slipping off, also I hear a clinking noise. So I go out and buy an ACT clutch and flywheel have them installed but still the same problem. Can anyone please help???

checked for leaks, all the hoses are good. I just had a thought since I have a tune done and Im producing more boost now could the stock waste gate not be strong enough to handle the pressure??? Just a thought.

Crappy BOV maybe? If it's not a BPV and if it's not a good one. It's probably leaking on the top end.

Sorry to be frank. But it doesn't mean squat who recommended it. BOVs aren't going to do much but mess up a MAF based car. If your running a MAP based ECU then your fine. Take it with a grain of salt if you want. But, that's the truth....its not going to recirculate the air that the MAF is expecting and you'll create lean/rich conditions from the unadjusted air.

Ok so lets say that I get a recirculating bov and put that on and it still doesnt solve the problem could it be the wastegate? And no offense taken I appreciate you being frank because I want the car to run good again so Ill take the advise that Im given

You have to start somewhere man. Hopefully someone else will chime in here with some better advise. I wouldn't think a BOV would make a clinking sound. But, I wouldn't know...as I've never ran one. I just know it's not good for the car and if it is leaking on the top end. I could be killing some of your boost.

The BOV is a good starting point if it fixes the problem or not because it will still run better with a stock one or a recirculating one. Some people have had similar type symptoms/issues with their car as you're describing and said replacing the BOV back to stock fixed their issues. It doesn't mean that this is your issue as well, but it is definetely a good start and not very expensive. I would try to buy a stock one if you can get a hold of one.

Ok. Mine started the same way but got worse as it went. I have been doing this for 15 years now and never seen anything like this but I tore my whole motor down to the block trying to find this noise and come to find out it was the center section in the turbo as it got hot the impellers were just barrely hitting the walls of the turbo. I know its not what you wanted to here but I figured I would save you some time pull the downpipe off and give the shaft a little wiggle and see if it has any play. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, Im taking it to a local tune shop today and Im thinking about upgrading to a 16g turbo now. Anyone like any specific one??

I feel bad for the about even thinking about getting the trans am lol... Good news though, I took it to the tune shop just a short bit ago and they confirmed what the problem was it is a wastegate/turbo issue. And thanks for the idea to go the 18g baller but will it work with stock intercooler?? I dont have the money to do the whole setup right now thats why I was thinking of going to the 16g for now.

The stock IC wont really work with the 16G, it will limit you as well as the injectors/pump also.

Matt I did get on, but not from Blouch. Im still working the issue, I have till tuesday to get something for the car as Tim Bailey is back in town then.

Josh, state that you got a 20G but it was what Slowboy racing claimed was a Blouch 20G. When in fact after blouch inspected it, they said it was not one of their turbos. I'm just continuing the OT....back on subject now. lol
