my tuner removed it from my 03 because he said it's known for that sensor to break off also and go up into the turbo. EM will fix the code and im not too sure on how to remove it, if it requires cutting or just loosen it and removing a connector. use one of these to cover it. http://cgi.ebay.com/Lambda-AFR-EGT-...QitemZ290176286375QQihZ019QQcategoryZ38786QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem

Bro just get an aftermarket up-pipe. It works better and will save you in the long run. Plus, there will be performance gains. Do a search and you'll know why all wrx owners upgrade their up-pipe on their 02-05 wrx's not because of the gain but because of how the stock one is bad for the turbo as well.

i took my car to the auto place where i usaully go and the guy who always works on my car and does a great job said the probe had no visual defects and that i could either just leave it since the light hasnt come back on or to just get a new stock sensor from the dealership
