Just sharing what i did i had it with aftermarket BOV and i went back to my OEM WRX02 BPV but since i have a tomei arms turbo right now i was concern it might not hold the boost pressure and through research came across some materials stating a OEM BPV can be modified for it to handle a bit more pressure so i went ahead and modify my stock BPV .. this is similar to a Coto oem BPV .. Final result it was good i love the throttle response my car is not fully tuned yet but im running on speed density now. which i setup my BPV to be a BOV .. and venting out the boost it sounds weird its like a fart without the sound. so i experimented with hks ssqv fins installed on my modified oem wrx bov ( pls, see photos ) final result .... i love it ! i love the sounds it generates !
btw. you have to cut the two ear tab of the hks fin and install a washer inside ..but its a perfect fit to the BOV again just see photos below
yep... what's the stock boost level? I'm planning to by the turboXS MBC, but i don't know how high up a boost I should apply~~ Also, should I also install a cat-less uppipe before I instal a MBC?
Does anybody know the spark plug gap on a 05 EJ20 WRX? I cannot find that info anywhere on a sun afternoon. Just bought some NGK Iridium IX plugs and the auto parts store people said they were pre=gapped....wrong. 2 were .030 and 2 were .040. same part no.
So I haven’t been able to find to much out about which would be better or more affect. Porting turbine/compressor housing, or just a billet compressor wheel. I know they do pretty much the same thing but what would be better over all?
Have an 02 wrx wagon with 330hp and want to make some more power. It's got V39 turbo Subaru performance Exhaust. Tomei headers External wastegate. 3 bolt up pipe dont really much about that. Whatelse can I do to get her to 350hp or more???
I may have posted this in the wrong section earlier.
Hey guys I'm new to the forum and to subie in general. I've built a couple dsm and an srt4 so this is a new game for me lol. So I have an 05 wrx wagon and was completely stock when I bought it. No real issues but once you start modding then...
