Just wanted to know if anyone here has also had this issue. I have read some posts on other sites and lots of people are having the same issue. I can't get it to stay tight for more than about a month. There are rumors that there is a threaded adapter that would take the place of the "universal" screws and let the knob screw onto the stock shaft. If anyone has found where to get this or has any other suggestions that would help. I've got the Momo Air Leather Race Aluminum. Here are the pics I am seeing on the Net. Anyone know where to get one?

That looks alot like the insert on the STi Titanuim knob. I would check to see if any local dealers have any of them from warrenty and pester them into letting you have it. They throw away any warrenty parts that they dont want to take a look @ themselves after the local DSM comes down.

what part is threaded ? the white part? if it is- then just glue the out part to the inner, it doesnt need to come off the white part- it will still unscrew off the shifter.

I'm not sure, I think it's the white part. I don't have the part that is shown. It's just a pic I found on the Net that some say they are using. I am wondering if anyone knows where to get it.

It looks like the same one I have. I put the knob on & then used the set screws to hold in place. I then twisted the boot(momo boot) in the opposite direction it would screw onto the knob. Matched it up with the threads on the knob & screwed it on as it un-twisted.
