Leak Test

I have a boost leak somewhere. I can hear it start squealing as soon as the turbo spools and the more boost the turbo builds, the louder the squeal is. Does anyone have any tricks or methods that will make finding this leak any easier? I have tried revving the engine when the car is still, but the squeal isnt present unless the car is in motion. So as of now, i have no clue where the leak is coming from, and the noise is starting to piss me off

Ok, I had a similar issue. My problem was that one of the intercooler bolts was loose and I was loosing boost pressure to the atmosphere. It sounded like I had a cat (no, not the car part, but the animal) under my hood and it was squealing, like you said, only under vehicle acceleration. In case you are wondering, it "got" loose cause I was trying to remove the intercooler without knowing that you dont have to unbolt anything.

That turned out to be my problem, i was leaking boost at the Bypass Valve Gasket.

I know you found your problem, but for all the people that search these threads, I blew my IC hose off once b/c i didn't tighten down that clamp enough. Floored it and you hear a loud POP, and your engine wines down and eventually stalls out.
