In process of installing Subaru Fog Light Kit - H4510FG080XX | Subaru Online Parts. I elected to follow advice found on a YouTube video suggesting to tap a wire presumably the low beam power wire. This way the fog lights would only work when the low beams are on, and off when high beams are on. Well, when all wired up and lights connected, turning the low beams on results in a dimly lit high beam indicator and very dim fog lights. I checked the ground wires, one on the interior for the switch and relay, and the one ground wire in the harness which connects the lights. Putting a voltmeter at the light plug gets me 11.1 volts. If I disconnect harness going to the fog lights and provide power straight from the battery they brighten and no high beam indication.

What gives?! :? I would prefer to hook it up to work in conjunction with low beams, but otherwise I would be happy tapping a power source that is only hot when the ignition is "on".

Any insight is greatly appreciated!!
