Fuel Injector Problem?

So back in April I took my car in for Oil Change and routine servicing (7500 miles I think) and the mechanic told me that he could tell that there was something slightly out of whack regarding the engine's idle. He said he could notice just sitting in the driver's seat and listening to it idle and also when he put his hand over exhaust in the back. He said it sounded like a fuel injector problem and he told me to put some STP in it (the Red container which was the regular fuel additive and the Black Container which is supposed to be used every oil change) and just go drive on the interstate for a while. (I drove from Seattle to Vegas to San Fran to Eugene, Oregon the next week)

I would like to know if I've corrected this problem. Is it possible for my untrained ear (or to feel the exhaust like he did) to decide if this problem has gone away?

A little background:

-2006 WRX Wagon
-It didn't get driven a whole lot the first year I had it (only ~3000 miles) because I had to travel a lot, and it sat for almost a month undriven on two occasions
-Since then (April 2008) I've put about 10,000 miles (95% interstate) on it.
-Maybe every 2-3 fill ups I will put some of the STP red container in, and a container of the black STP every oil change.
-I've always put in 91 or higher (now that I live in Texas she gets sweet sweet 93)
-My MPGs seem fine, I get 24-27 on the interstate and ~18-20 in the city

Thanks in Advance

Sounds like everything is fine with the car, considering your MPG. Have you noticed any difference before or afer yourself? This makes me wonder about my car as it has been sitting for 15 months with only 3K miles on it. Anyway, if you dont have a CEL and the car seems to idle smooth and run good to you, Im sure its fine it would seem.

Try some BG44K and some seafoam. If there was some bad gas in it at one time, they will clean it out. But you said you didn't notice a difference from the time before and after. If you couldn't tell there was a difference "normally", then maybe the mechanic hasn't been around them enough. You can always come down here and I will take a look if you don't have a buddy that has a WRX.
