I have a 2022 wrx base model. I put a K&N filter, eliminated second filter which attached to box. other than that, it's completely stock. Boost has increased from11 to 12.6psi. I ran local auto X a couple time, I drove hard at 8000miles. Boost increased to 15.2psi, rev limit also increased to about 6000prm. ECU remapped by itself? I would like to get your opinion. Thank you.

Do you have a Cobb tuner I wouldn’t even add parts until I had that so I could tune the car and tell the computer I just added more airflow.

Thank you for your reply. I don"t have cobb tuner or pipes....any mods. it's plan stock has a just K&N filter. I don't understand. but runs better tho.

Factory wastegate kind of suck for racing I would def get a tial wastegate and Cobb tuner. Just normal spiking happening is what sounds like

thanks bro. just I wanna know why boost has been increased a lot and rev limit as well. I did not modify at all but it changed boost and rev limit after hard drive. Is this manufacture trick or some mechanical issue. That's I wanna find out.

I was curious about this as well (owner of a 22 WRX base). Haven't added a filter or modified anything but noticed my boost went from 10.7 the first month of owning the car to now being 12.5? I drove it up north this weekend and temps were about 27 and we were at 7k ft elevation. I know cold air is more dense, etc but I've been home 2 days now and it's still reading 12.5. Wasn't sure if this was normal as this is my first Subi and turbo vehicle I've owned.

after purchased this wrx, it was 11psi. After I entered the first autoX, ran 10raps, boost went up to 12.3pis. a month later I entered the second event, ran 10raps, I noticed that rev limit increased during last rap. looked at gage said 15.2pis. cobb tuner for stock, maybe 14,15pis.

I would have to agree the car does feel quite faster now then it did before. Thinking of getting a COBB tuner as well.

I understand that boost spiking. Thank you for great advice. I will get those eventually
