So recently I've been looking to upgrade my suspension a little bit and just want a better ride. I don't track the car just a slightly spirited driver looking for a nicer ride but not harsh. I was looking at coilovers but was wondering if a strut and spring combo would be cheaper or better for what I'm looking for? And also if anyone has any suggestions for the combo or coilovers it would be greatly appreciated. On a bit of a budget so nothing too crazy.

Thanks!

Coilovers will be much stiffer and much more expensive. If you just want a drop and a good daily setup, go with the springs and struts (if your struts are due for replacement). Coilovers imo are overkill for a daily setup and most of the time you won’t go lower than what a lower spring goes to depending on how bad your roads are and how much of a drop you want. If you want slammed or any kind of stance then you need coilovers. Other than that, springs are the way to go man. The coilover hype is real but imo it’s more of a track setup.

Source: ran on Apexi N1 coilovers on my daily bugeye for about 4 years then switched to springs.
