Hey y'all,
Just wanted to say hello. On my second WRX, and in the middle of an engine swap from a usdm ej 205 to a jdm 205 with avcs. Any advice or tips would be appreciated. Thanks!
That's an interesting goal, looking forward with your project. Welcome aboard! There are so many knowledgeable people on this forum. You shouldn't have any problems finding answers. Give us details and photos when you can.
So where I'm at now is:
Cobb intake, catless up pipe, Cobb downpipe, borla xr1 catback, walborough 355lph fuel pump, sti pinks, jdm ej205 w/single avcs.
The motor itself came from jdm import in Long Beach CA. It came with a blown head gasket, and as a consequence I had to rebuild it. At the moment, the block is being bored and honed to 92.5mm and has the following components waiting to go in: J&E Pistons, Manley H-beams, stock (but polished and balanced) cams and crank, GSC valves and springs, also the heads have been redone including three angle valve seat grind, and backcut valves. Oh and a 600rpm higher stall torque converter. Anything I'm missing? Car will be used for a DD and light rallycross. Any advice will be appreciated.
