Those are shields and not really meant to be replaceable, hence being welded on from the factory. No real harm in not having them . H6 upgrade even requires their removal.

Once you take the stock airbox off the scoop is non-functional. Air is not forced into it, it's sucked in. Once you remove that closed off vacuum, it's very debatable how much it actually continues...

18x8.5 +48 is a very common fit on GD Imprezas.

GR STI wheels (18x8.5 +55) clear without hitting GD struts...
