The 15WRX has the new 6 speed in it. It is cable driven, so the typical cobb and kart boy options dont work. SPT makes a short through for it and perrin makes a bushing to put in there as well....

No you should not need to reprogram the keys, the security codes are stored in the pcm i believe. And you can start the car with no instrument cluster. It shouldnt hurt anything as it has no effect...

Good chance it has a bent valve. When they get out of time, the piston and valves collide. Do a compression test, and a leak down test to know your answer for sure.
