My first stick car was a WRX. So tough to learn on, i made an ass out of myself taking it to school the first day i got it.
I wouldnt advise "launching" until you have driven the car for a while...

Go with the Defi gauges, they are so nice. Autometer are ok(thats what i have) but not the most accurate or attractive.

I think the 06 is the same as the 05, the 07 will be the new model. So they should work. Im not positive on that though. Do a search, there are plenty of threads full of speculation.

I got my UTEC dynotuned about a month ago and this weekend was my first road trip with it. I got 31 mpg with some city driving in there and a couple of 0-135 rips !Thumbs Up

The WRX run real rich and if you run catless, untuned, you will smell the richness. If you get a tune your car will get leaned out and you wont be able to smell the fumes much, if at all, anymore.

Depends on how much boost you are running now. The TMIC wont add any horsepower in itself but it will allow you to safely turn the boost up.
