5 Truck Interior Features You Just Can't Live Without

In today's world of advanced engineering, we have come to expect a lot from our vehicles. After all, many of us spend as much time in our trucks as anywhere else. We should expect our trucks to deliver the same kind of comfort, the same kind of seamless connectivity, and the same kind of advanced technology that we find at home or at the office — or anywhere else.

When it comes to the driving experience, the all-new 2014 GMC Sierra sets a new standard for pickup-truck interiors. Its innovative features and premium materials bring all-around comfort, refinement, and convenience to a whole new level. Here are five interior features of the all-new Sierra that you can't — and shouldn't — hit the road without:

Sierra's cabin is specially engineered for optimal quietness, with a new inlaid door design, triple door seals, improved aerodynamics, hydraulic body mounts, and a valved exhaust system that reduces engine noise. Bottom line: You won't find a quieter full-size pickup on the market.
Durable, soft-touch instrument panel materials combine with available aluminum trim on the instrument panel, steering wheel, and center console, providing a level of refinement that you'll rarely see in a pickup.
The new Sierra offers plenty of storage — and then some. The available center console alone is wide and deep enough to store hanging file folders, laptops, and much more. There is even locking under-seat storage available in SLE models with front bench seating.
The available Color Touch Radio with an 8-inch-diagonal screen puts control at your fingertips — or the sound of your voice. The intuitive IntelliLink system adds hands-free, voice-activated control of all your entertainment and communication, whether it's SiriusXM* Radio (*Standard for three trial months), Pandora®, or smartphone integration for hands-free calling. A customizable Favorites file allows you to save albums, songs, artists, destinations, and even frequently used phone book contacts for quick access.
There's arguably nothing better than having plenty of power within arm's reach. The new Sierra with bucket seats includes five USB ports,** (**Not compatible with all devices) four auxiliary charging outlets, and an SD card reader. An available 110V power outlet provides an additional power source, ensuring that you always have backup.

And that's only the beginning.
