When I get my Subaru I'm looking to go catless and I was wondering if anybody knew someone in MA that would pass that. Anybody with a friend in the system. Might also want to go darker tint too.
Might be willing to throw in a little cash to the guy as well.
I thought more people ran catless with the wrx and when i searched for exhaust sounds on youtube it sounded pretty good catless, but it could have just been their exhaust and not the catless part that was making the sound.

2.Can't pass with a Cel no matter who you know.
3.The exhaust smell gets in the car and is obnoxious.
4.Do you really get that much more Hp/Tq over a highflow cat?
But to also answer your question I believe there are ways to trick your ECU via various resistors I have not done it myself so you would have to research this if it is true, but there are ways to keep the Cel off.
If you do decide to go catless you can always save your stocker and once a year throw it on before its inspection time, just because you get around the CEL doesn't mean anything if they do a visual inspection so keep that in mind.
Last time I put mine back on only took about 45mins, hardest part is getting the god forsaken heat shields off the first time! I only went w that DP because it was cheaper.
I wouldn't bother putting just a catless dp on unless your gonna the rest of the exhaust w some kind of EM.
