(wanted) 2004 sti BBS wheels

Looking to pick up(locally)a new set of wheels before I put on springs and sways, if anyone is selling their BBS or knows of someone let me know. I am also interested in anything close to the design of the BBS.

Look up Sparco Asetto Gara wheels, very sharp and are made from OZ and Sparco... Can't be bad at all.

You are looking at spending in the upwards of a K for the BBS you want. Or 600-800 for a set of jacked up ones.

Yeah the BBS are hard to come by in good condition and a decent price, but those Sparco's you recommended are pretty sweet. If I were to get them in 18 would I have spacing issues and how would that effect my performance? Or should just stick with the 17" by 8" wheels? I want good looks, but not at the sacrifice of performance! I am eventually putting Pink springs and Sways/endlinks on the car not to long afterwards.

Certainly NOT going to easily find 04 STi BBS wheels that are nice, cheap, and local.

18's will not harm anything (especially on stock suspension/ride height/Pinks), you just need to go with the correct tire as not to sacrifice anything.

Sweet! I love the look of 18" and by the time I do my engine mods the increased wheel size/weight won't really mean much.

Off topic, but if I don't plan to auto x or anything like that should I not bother with coilovers?

pzr2874 08-02-2012 08:28 PM

Probably not. A cheap set may need rebuilding every 20-30K

Regardless of what these guys say, a cheap set may give you what you want..... but at a cost... They lose their effectivness quickly. Do you want a harsh ride on a cheap set of CO's?

No I would rather have good struts and spring for fun daily driving than crappy/coilovers because their "cool" or "could be used on a track." I am not ready to drop 2K on good coilovers when that could get me so much HP gain with engine mods.

Then search for threads what others are using, they are everywhere. Good luck.
