uuhhh, you really shouldn't be driving a rally circuit without doing at least one out-lap. scratch that, you shouldn't drive ANY track without doing an out-lap.

Nose... Isnt it Rally rules that the driver doesnt get to drive the course beforehand? I thought that the co-driver got to do a lap and make his notes, and that is all. I mean I am not sure so correct me if I am wrong.

it matters on the event. Most short track rally is done after several passes have been made on the exact track with driver and co-driver where timing is created and fine tuned. The initial run is at a snail's pace.
