doesnt the stock transmission housing flex a lot? i thinki i read that somewhere but i dont know. how hard is it to swap a trannies. not 5spd - sti but just like a 6spd to brand new 6spd not new gear set. my friend has a 3000gt vr4 and needs a new transmission cause they dont make gearsets and we were toying with the idea of doing it ourselves but how hard is it. bolt it in bolt it out basically or is there some super complicated steps that i dont know about?

That whole transmission flex thing was wrong, and proven over and over to be false. Its really too bad, because whoever started that has confused a lot of people.

RAs are louder than stock, but do not sound like straight cut gears.

Thats having andrewtech build the transmission for you. You are not qualified to build a PPG box yourself.

Not really, andrewtech only charges $700 for building the tranny, thats not that much money above materials such as synchros and bearings. Its an excellent deal.

That 700 also provides you with a Warrantee.. Andrew does indeed stand behind his work. I had to call him on it once.. An OEM part that is not replaced broke and he fixed it for free even though it wasn't his fault, nor mine.. It was a defect in the OEM shift rail that caused it to break under my driving style..

No any person cannot do it, it is not a drop in gearset, the stock case needs to be modified for the gears.
