Here's a list of things I think you need
1) More content. At least 3x as much or more. If this is incompatible with a weekly thing, than it shouldn't be weekly. Nothing you've posted seems particularly time specific anyway.
2) use clearer fonts and tabulate information rather than block text. Mods are best shown in tables.
3) Interview the owners of the cars involved. Ask car related and personal related questions.
4) Editor Letter. Most publications, especially new ones, benefit greatly from an opening letter from the editor talking about the issue, the publication, something new going on in their lives, whatever.
5) format change. The slide show or whatever is not helping. I suggest simple HTML for paging through the pictures.
Avoid dark on dark text (several places on your stuff) and a general improvement in formatting would be helpful as well.
