2009 Subaru WRX STI Spy Video By Edmunds' Inside Line - Video


here is a link i found to edmunds.com spy photographs...ever since the wrx upgrade for 2009 has the 08 sti been too close to the base price for the wrx...it may be just my opinion. Although I have seen 2.5k-3k reductions in pricing for 08 sti's this has further spurred my disbeliefs...waht do you think will there be a bump in HP for 2009? I mean you can research 09 models but not for the impreza just yet and I think this goes for the whole model line...

it seems the article this has been based on is from 2007...which probably means that it was an early 2009 model badged for 2008....BAH! there goes my hopes.

The 2008 models had a massive price difference. I think back to 2004 when the STi's MSRP was 29900 or something and I think the 08 was already as expensive as they can push it. A mild HP jump they may do (just some exhaust piping could do that) but otherwise I'd expect it to be exactly the same as the 08 and cost the same as the 08 more or less. Yes, there are 4 Impreza models for 09 now but that doesn't mean the STi is "too close" to the WRX. It still has the nicer EJ257, the 6-speed, 20mm wider tires, a better suspension, better brakes, DCCD, and on and on... 40hp is nothing compared to that stuff.
