STI V7 Gauge clustetr install.

O.k..... time for more JDM stuff , I dig deep into japan for this install. V7 Gauge Cluster install (2-1-04) :Part 3 of my install series. Difficulty rating "1.5" (1 shift knob install easy - 10 full stage 4 install ) App. 1/2 hr.
Once again I am online looking for deals when http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/foru...?s=&forumid=23 vendor sells catchs my eye.

A V7 wrx STI salvaged from japan sold in Arizona... Happy to meet Mr KINGPIN http://kingpin.chainreactionservers.com/main/ ... Very cool . A complete v7 being torn down to the frame.... I call them up and its mine..... So 1 week later a UPS package shows up... sooo happy ... love UPS/FED EX.
I was thinking I was getting a more advanced cluster... not so fast.... not the 260 kph gauge ,... just the 180 kph gauge/(pic 2)

This is the gauge I thought I was getting ... don't think so... I wish .. A longer redline 10k and a longer speed 260 vs. 180kph.

Sorry about the lack of pics. The cell phone camera pics came out bad... take off the 2 screws on the cluster plastic piece on top. REMOVE. Remove the 3 bolts attaching the OEM cluster to the body. . 2 on the bottom and 1 on the top. The hardest part is the 3 OEM wire connectors........ The oem clips are soo hard to unclasp/Oh well. The new cluster is a direct plug and play..... The only drawback is that the Outside temp sensor show up ... ---*C... I need the outside probe and sender.

So Anyways.. the sti V7 cluster comes with a built in shift light .It is Programable to any rpm from 2k to 8 k.. and it also come with a outside temp sensor that u need a parts for.. KPH reading.. 8K redline AND CRAZY JDM COOL FACTOR....
