I was looking through previous threads on this and other sites before I attempted to hooked up my Glow Shift shift light w/ digital tach and noticed that no one I saw had any luck with an '06. To help those unanswered questions, I thought that I would post how I did it. I'm not claiming that this easiest or the best way, or that it will work with other shift lights/tachs. This is merely what I did and it works flawlessly with my application. That said, here we go: (BTW- sorry about the pics...camera phone+shop light=crappy pictures)
Step 1: Remove the outer gauge bezel.
- Remove the two Phillips head screws on the inside/top
- Lower the tilt wheel as far down as possible
- Pull straight towards yourself to release to spring clips
Step 2: Remove the gauge panel
- Remove the three Phillips head screws (two bottom, one top)
- Manipulate the panel so the three green connectors on top are visible[/b]
Step 3: Make the connection
- Locate the connector to the far right (above the speedometer)
- Make you connection for the tach/shift light to the BLUE wire with a Lt. Green
trace (I found it easier to disconnect the clip before I made my connection)
Step 4: Make you other connections - Mine required switched power and ground. I used a green wire under the
dash for power. If all else fails, use the cigarette plug wire.
Step 5: Test and replace parts in reverse order

I assume that it will, but it may be a different wire color and/or position. I used the process of elimination to find the connector (With the enigine running, unplug connectors one at a time until the tach stops working). I then connected the wires for my shift light except for the signal wire. Again with the engine running, wrapped the wire from the tach around one of the points on my multimeter, and then touched that point to the different terminals on the selected plug until the tach worked. It may be more difficult to determine with a stand alone shift light, though. Hope this helps.
