opensource is the hottest thing out right now

just joking. open source allows you to flash maps into your car with just a cable and a laptop. so instead of paying 600 for a ap from cobb you just spend 100 bucks from tactrix in WA and you are able to flash maps into your whip. you have to download the softwares though. ecu flash is just what it is(seperate software). it allows you to flash different maps. enguinity, ecu explorer are more indept and those are for hardcore tuners, but it dont stop there, you can delete cels, stop cels from coming up, and you can data log also. i ordered my tactrix cable and have the ecuflash program in my laptop waiting.

yeah but if you are modding your car then its cool. psinuse knows a lot more about this then me. i felt uneasy just like you a little white back but his help made me feel more confident about it. pm him if you have any questions search for (flashed staged one today) we spoke quite a bit about it on there and there are websites you can go on and read about opensource tuning.
