I was planning on going to that one until I heard about the PMI road course day. Road course, drag strip.... hmmmm, road course! I guess if the NASIOC guys decide not to invite another Mitsu I'll do the drag strip. I was just out there for the opening day and ran a 12.6 @ 110mph - I know, crappy driving for that trap speed. I could use some practice at the strip, it's been a while.

It was a slick track that day for sure. I know I wasn't the only one spinning tires halfway through 1st gear. I hit second pretty hard on my last run and my windshield wipers came on - pretty common in my car. That's how I know I'm shifting good and I'm getting good traction in 2nd

haven't tried the wiper technique yet...I was just doing burnouts through 1st on the last Test/Tune day...hopefully I get my block built and installed in time for some races this year

Hahaha, it's not really a technique, more of a curse.

It's been said that if you launch a DSM properly, the wipers will come on. Mine did that before a couple of times. It's distracting and it kind of sucks.

Not to mention it's kind of embarrassing. I usually am able to turn them off once I get to 3rd gear.
