Well, I guess if nobody else has any objections, we can go ahead and set this thing in stone so people can make appropriate arrangements:
- Sunday, September 8, 2013
- Gifford Pinchot State Park, PA
- Cookout from around lunch time (10-11ish) until whenever
Whether we choose to gather on the east side (Conewago Day Use Area) or the west side (Quaker Race Day Use Area) is up to you guys. I don't foresee the need to shell out money reserving a pavilion since we probably won't have enough people to make good use of it, so instead, we can try to snag a picnic table or two and a grill. Both sides have charcoal grills, picnic tables, parking lots, restrooms, horseshoe pits, and drinking water. However, the Quaker Race area has a volleyball court and Conewago has a softball field. I guess it mostly depends upon how full the places are, but secondly, whether or not we have anybody interested in getting their butts whooped in a friendly game of volleyball or kickball. Oh, and mosc would have to drive a little farther if we meet on the west side
If the weather doesn't cooperate, we can meet at a nearby restaurant so the drive isn't for nothing.
