y-pipe

Quick easy question. I'm going to install my mods this week. Since I will have the i/c off I will go ahead and replace the y-pipe if needed. My question is does anyone know if a 06 wrx has a corrugated y-pipe? If its smooth I dont see the need to replace it. I would like to know before I take it off so I can go ahead and order it if needed. Thanks in advance!

The stock 2006/2007 top mount y pipe has two small corrugated sections in it. If funding allows, you should probably go ahead and replace it. Silicone is less likely than plastic to tear and it will make installation/future removal much easier.
