i took the actual diffuser off and then took some material(foam type) and 3m taped it to the bottom of my hood in the shape of the i/c so that is the only place the air will go

Adding the DP will give you around 30hp (don't quote me)(depends on the downpipe) with the flash of Stage 2 on the Accessport/Engine Management..

The downpipe is very easy to install as long as you have some other people (hands) to help you.

I think its more the pic itself rather than your cars.

Here is my question, with the downpipe all you guys run. How do you get the car inspected? I ordered my blitz exhaust system, but I dont know if running a downpipe will pass inspection or not. Besides that I want to see how loud the catback is before adding something that will make it well overboard. What are the opinions on this? I would love a downpipe, but you have to get the car inspected. Also, how many run the cel fix and does it work?

Emissions - No you won't pass. You would have to swap the stock DP back on UNLESS you have a catted DP then you will be/should be fine for emissions

CEL Issue - DO NOT RUN your car without Engine Management if you have a '06/'07 (which you do). You WILL get boost creep which is not good. Personally I would not put the downpipe on until you have some type of Engine Management (I have Cobb Accessport but there are others out there)

I dont have emissoins either. I also dont think that a DP would be good for your car unless you have the EM, I also have the Cobb AP. Hopefully I will be going to stage 2 today, I am right now waiting on the guys to call back... Yeha I think that its the pic man, The blue has to be the same, might be all the wax on it...lol... I think Im a clean freak when it comes to it....I have to get back on here today though and let ya'll know how it goes...L8R

DP should be an easy install. I had to take my TMIC off to do it tho. It was ALOT easier!

Cat-back is a breeze!

Hmm... how about this:

Plan B
- Cobb catted dp
- Cobb turbo heat shield
- HKS Hi-Power Carbon-Ti catback

Anybody running this exact setup on an 06-07 WRX?

The carbon fiber, stainless steel, and angled titanium tip look so pretty. Gotta love the matching heat shield and dp too, plus if I happen to get pulled over for the exhaust, I could always throw the stock catback back on to the Cobb dp and get everything checked out. Good looks. Good sound. Good quality. Not so good price. Anybody know about any good deals on this equipment?

Garage
actually some of our site sponsors have pretty good prices on COBB stuff. It's still more expensive than equivalent stuff from other companies though (meaning good prices on COBB is still fairly expensive). I'd point you to the site sponsors linked all over the place here.

Cobb's heatshield in particular is very expensive for what it is. You don't even really need it.
