Get something more reputable.

rex2002 09-24-2012 02:07 PM

they were really popular back in the "fast and the furious" days ,you would see them a lot on Hondas but they seemed to drop off the face of the earth

psinuse 09-24-2012 02:44 PM

No just no.

Why you wanna drop the stock box?
If it's for more noise just do the baffle delete with a drop in.
You might kick yourself in the a$$ if you have to end up taking it back off your car because of CEL and end up with an expensive paperweight.
I put a CAI on my 06 and lost killer power and it ran like $hit till I put the stocker back on.
Alot of people make the mistake of messing with the airbox without a tune, but do what you will man.

Another crappy thing about CAI is the worry about water. :(

Just my .02

Good luck.

I have a K&N panel filter for sale if you're interested ;)

I had just found one for a good deal, and I'm not gonna lie, it looked pretty cool too, but I definitely would not do it without a tune. I more than likely will end up doing the stock filter deal, seeing as how it is much cheaper, but I wanted to get ideas on it before committing to it...I had never really heard of it. If I do go that route, it will more than likely be Cobb, AEM, or Injen. I know those are 3 pretty reputable companies. I think I was just a little too distracted by the "SHINY" appearance of the Weapon R. Damn ADD...

brfatal 09-25-2012 10:01 AM

Stay way from Injen too. The other 2 you mentioned are fine.

psinuse 09-25-2012 10:52 AM

Stay with stock. Unless your making crazy power its a waste of money.

Jautry27 10-06-2012 03:43 PM

So, as far as a filter goes, and you had a choice, would it be k&n, Cobb, or AEM?

psinuse 10-06-2012 05:30 PM

K&N hands down. Just get the panel filter and you'll be happy.
