wastegate actuator question

I am about to drop in my ej255 and the wastegate actuator on my 20g keeps getting stuck so I need to replace. I am running low on cash and the ej255 i just bought comes with the stock turbo.

my question is can the stock td04 wastegate actuator work on my 20g until i can buy one from Forge?

Also does anyone know the stock psi rating for the stock td04 turbo? Thanks.

I believe a stock wrx should be somewhere around 13.5psi.

2006-2007 (stock)
WRX: 11.6 P.S.I. WRX STI: 14.5

I am not sure if it is the same for other years.

These are the factory pre-tensioned wastegate settings. What 20G are you running. According to the 20Gs that Blouch uses they are both pre-tensioned to 9PSI. So if the table I found is correct, one from an 04-07 STI, or maybe an 02-03 WRX might work. But not sure, and not sure if the table is helpful or not either.

2007 STi WGDC Tables
Stock restrictor pill size = ~.0335”
Factory wastegate pre-tensioned to ~9psi

2004-2006 STi WGDC Tables
Stock restrictor pill size = ~.043”
Factory wastegate pre-tensioned to ~10psi

2007 WRX WGDC Tables
Stock restrictor pill size = ~.028”
Factory wastegate pre-tensioned to ~6psi

2004-2005 WRX WGDC Tables
Stock restrictor pill size = ~.047”
Factory wastegate pre-tensioned to ~6psi

2002-2003 WRX WGDC Tables
Stock restrictor pill size = ~.047”
Factory wastegate pre-tensioned to ~10psi

It's different for different years. the op's car (04') runs 13.5 psi as well as the rest of the usdm 2.0 wrx's. The 06-07 is 11.6, 08' is 11.9 and 09+ is 13.3. So i've heard from my sources

Pretty sure it will not work due to the bolt holes are different.
