Really? Aussie cars are better? Well that's good to know. You guys sure have a lot cheaper resources, so far as parts and quantity of tuners... I'm actually getting an Etune from a lad in the states, as I can't find anybody who does open source here.
Yeah cheat. I have friends in the business so I call that cheating...

Well in a way Aussie cars are better in the fact that you get models we don't. I have yet to see a Cosworth Escort or Cosworth anything here.
I am sure there are OS tuners in Australia and keep in mind you use a different octane rating there than we do here so make sure he is aware of that before you load that tune into your car. Here we use the AKI rating system and we are all about selling quantity over quality, so you also get better gas than we do. You use the RON system which if memory serves me right you RON98 is equaled to our AKI93...

Yeah cheers bro, that's fantastic. I have found one OS tuner, but he's never used ROMraider. He's agreed to have me sit in on the tune once we get a basemap to work with so I can teach him what I know about Subaru's knock strategies, timing and fuel stuff and he can teach me about tuning in general...

It's a bit touch and go, but I did make the American tuner aware of our "gas" differences, which I'd hope he was already aware of anyway. So I figure, as long as we take it slow and watch the gauges, I SHOULD be okay...

Haha, famous last words

Do you just need a base map? What mods do you have?

Currently no mods, except I did the sec. air pump delete.

I have a VF22, TurboXS tbe, walbro fuel pump and 08-10 STI tmic. Sticking with stock intake at this stage

All these are waiting for me to get a basemap so I can do the build.

I'm also talking with a guy regarding a boost solenoid / controller... My tuner is yet to get back to me regarding whether I need this or not, he's pretty slack on the Emails.

Didn't know a 08+ i/c would fit a previous model. Custom fit or just bolted right up? Learn something new every day!

Might I highly recommend getting a set of injectors before putting that turbo on there. I'd say at least a set of 550cc.

Argh! Don't say that! I'm told it's a direct fit, with a PW splitter...
The guy I bought it from had it on a GC and said it bolted straight on...
I guess I'll find out when I do the build...

Everything I've read says no it won't. Plus I've owned an 02 and 04, now a 2011. Doesn't look like it would.
Read up on it.

Okay, just spoke to old mate, he says it fits indeed, just need a special bracket. MSR (tuners) fitted it for him.

You mean, as opposed to the stock injectors which came with the 2.5ltr, which are 550cc?

Damn it I keep forgetting they changed the injector size...My mistake, but I'd still recommend a bigger injector if not then watch your IDC% very closely.

Tuning wise you'd probably be able to take a Stg.2 map and 0 out the WGDC tabe in RomRaider and go from there.

Damn it you guys!! The 08+ STI turbo layout is the same as previous years 02-07 WRX/STIs. The 3rd Gen WRX is LGT turbo layout. So, a newer TMIC and most of the intake plumbing is the same layout and can be made to fit older WRXs/STIs.
