Turboxs stealthback stage 2 and cold whether

Hi guys,

After much search i'm about to buy a turboxs stealthback for my 04 STI.

I'm a little worried about the sound as many are saying the sound is alittle raspy with the StI Stock axleback. Anybody have this setup?

Is stage 2 problematic in cold wether?? I live in Quebec(one of the paradise of subaru)
Will i get problem with being stage 2 on winter??

thanks for your help

You have to have a Downpipe to run a Stage 2 Map.

Do you already have a DP?

Ya, I remember now DP using the stock STi axle back/muffler. Keeping the Stocker will rob you of a little bit of power. As for the raspiness, I am unsure.

However, I think you should look into a full Catback w/DP. Maddad Whisper is a great/quiet exhaust and IMHO is one of the best on the Market. It also comes in a twin tip or a single. Borla Hush (which I own) is also another great choice with low sound levels in mind.

Yes i know about the maddad but here the police are psycho with exhaust. That way i got 90% power but almost no more sound than stock. Nobody could give me exhaust ticket.

You shouldn't have any problems with the Cobb Stage 2 map and cold weather. I've been running it for two years in Chicago and it's fine in single digit temperatures.

I've seen the older 2.0's getting creep "sometimes" with no catalytic.

Just a thought

My advise is to get the Catalytic converter, it will also help prevent back fire and popping. In general it will smell a whole lot better and you'll feel better about yourself. :-)
