Turbo smoke?

So while I was letting the cooling system get the air out it was idleing had it up to around 2k rpm and its burning oil only if I let it sit for 10 mins then drive it. Are the seals bad in the turbo? I checked my oil and it hasn't gone down since my oil change a couple days ago. My next route will be hopefully to get a sti turbo and intercooler and get a tune.

how much were u idling? i had smoke come out my heatshield a few times but it went away. I think the problem was i was idling the car too much in my driveway. once i stopped doing this the smoke stopped. i idled it like 20 min a day fer like three days in a row. and got smoke. just throwing this out there.

Yeah I idled for about 20 mins and it smoked after about 5 mins of idling. I drove it about half a mile and it stopped. Tommorow morning ill see if it smokes when I warm it up.

If you can I would check all the fittings and lines. If you can be your own mechanic you will gain valuable knowledge and experience and will save yourself a lot of money.

you can tell by pulling the TMIC and having a look in the charger if you think it's spitting oil....

And if there's oil in turbo. Does that mean the seals are bad and turbo needs replaced? What about oil in the elbow of the intercooler
