This is total BS!!!!!

hi everyone...
I got Perrin EL header last week and got it installed but hasn't finish yet...
because of an old(2007) oil cooler adapter has an rediculous angle to it so i needed a oil cooler adapter from 2002~2005 wrx... BUT!!!! it's not in this country!!! my local subaru dealers and parts stores said that i can't get it because it's not available in USA right now....but my car is on the lift and my stock header is off the car and giving me a BIG PAIN!!!!!!I'm so pissed off...i tried more than dozens of junkyards to find this part but...it seems like impossible. what should i do now....

HOnestly you dont even need a header... its a waste of money time and power
all you need is a turbo back with and ecu upgrade or some turbo porting
or a cat back for 06 and up... due to boost creep
trust me puitting in that header is just a waste of power its too much free flow
and knowing from experince on my buddies 05 wrx installed an turbo back and ecu-tek
ecu upgrade and dynoed 60whp then installed an header a few months later and redyno teested droped to 47whp.... unless there was any other problems with his car which there wasnt, and the ecu programm remained the same... i would suggest putting the stock header back in....

Sorry dude but thats total BS! Unless he got some piece of siht header or an aweful tune, it should have given approx 25whp & 30ft/lbs before a tune ! ! Headers are one of the best mods you can do to your car!

Check out Perrin's site ... they show numbers from their clients not their R&D

the main reason that i'm trying to put the header on is b/c of that heat in the #3 cylinder problem. stock header has weird bends to it so i wanna solve the heat problem that stock header has. my next mod will be perrin fuel rails.

why fuel rails? u dont really need fuel rails unless u have a race only setup. injectors and fuel pump should be the only fuel system upgrade u need.

rollin on 17's now and they're dirty

an easier and cheaper solution is to replace ## spark plugs first. these cars run a little rich from factory and i think should replace spark plugs before the recommended mileage. especially with those 07's.

The reason the #3 has issue is the crappy design of the stock fuel rails. #3 runs lean because of this desgn hench the higher temps. After market fuels rails fix this but you can also modify the stockers to be parallel.

Headers are more designed for higher revs. You lose some low end for a gain in top end but the gain comes just before your power curve is reaching its peak. Now the JDM spec engines see better gains but to the 8k redline.

You hire someone like myself thats a cnc programmer (metal worker) to make you a custom part its very easy and can be done in minutes. So pretty much call a machine shop

I get mis-fires on #1 and #3 at times, but my tuner attributed it to my PE850 injectors rather than the fuel rails. You have my attention ! I think I'll mention that before I go up for my next tune ! Thanks.
