Timing belt? Cam tool

What's up guys quick question for you guys. Doing another t-belt on a Wrx an when I did mine the driver side cams moved( should of seen my face when I took my belt off and they spun) well I was looking for the cam locking tool that holds the cams in place does anyone have any experience with using the 50$ company23 one. Thanks guys

Did just the top cam move? Once you put the new belt on and line up the marks you just rotate the cam until the line marks match up on the bottom and the cams stay in place as you route the belt the rest of the way. No real need for a special tool.

No if I remember correctly both cams moved on the driver side.

I followed the videos in this link to a T and everything went smoothly for me: Meatys Timing Belt How-To Video (HD) - NASIOC

When I took the tension off the belt, I think both of mine moved a little. I just made sure to rotate them in the correct direction when reinstalling the new timing belt. The trick where he let the weight of the breaker bars hold the cam gears in place worked for me, although a second set of hands to hold things in place would probably have been a better idea.

Yeah looks like it'll make the job much easier much quicker hopefully get the job down to 2 hours

Well I purchased that tool ad will be doing a review on it proboly in the middle of April or early may when I do the timing belt.
