Its one of the easiest things you can do. You take a few bolts off that connect the stock exhaust to the turbo, and then pretty much remove the exhaust from the hangers. Putting on the new one is easier than the removal of the old one. You will probably want to soak all of the bolts with PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench and let it sit for 15 min to loosen them up.

Very easy. You can do it.

Change your up pipe while you are at it. It makes sense to do it at the same time since the DP will already be out of the way. Otherwise you will have to take the DP back off to swap the UP.

Eh, I wouldnt recommend you do an uppipe alone though. Its an extreme PITA. At least, the first time you do it it is.

the only pain in the butt is getting past all of the heat shields. I had to take mine out in 3 parts. But putting it back in was real easy. Like they said in the post above soak it first so you don't break a bolt. And make sure you use the new flanges, don't put the stock ones back on or you'll get an exaust leak

I did mine alone when I was a TOTAL NOOB with no assistance and it worked out fine.. Just take your time and get a service manual (there are free online ones) for tq specs..

Edit: also put some liquid gasket material on both sides of the new gaskets to make sure you don't get a leak.. Leaks SUCK...

02 WRX.. "It's fun when it runs.. Problem is that it hardly ever does..."
