There is a UTEC for the 04 STi but I don't know if it will work w/ the 05 or not. The STi has 550 cc injectors, the ones that people upgrade to on the regular WRX. Yes those can be maxed out but you will have to be pushing some seroius HP.

From everyting I've seen the 04 and 05 ECU is the same, so the same UTEC should work.

With the stock turbo the injectors/fuel system should be fine. If you go any bigger, consider upgrading the fuel system as well.

The 04 and 05 are the same. Yes, the UTEC is now out for it and works on both. The AccessPort will be coming out shortly, if it's not already out.

STI's have 440 injectors. You can run a VF34 on an STi at the most on the stock fuel system. Then most people upgrade to PE720's or PE800 or something like that that is ridiculously big. STI injectors are also side feed injectors where as WRX are top feeds I think. Which is why you can't take the STI 550cc injectors and put them on the STI.

Clear as mud??

No, he stated that the new STi comes with 440's (Hadn't heard either way) and they are side feed injectors whereas the WRX has top feeds as well as the older bugeyed STis (550's) which is why you can't put the bugeyed STi injectors into the new age STi. At least that's what I got from what HE said. Still..... he sure did make it confusing hehe

Sorry guys. The 2.0L JDM STi and USDM WRX motor are top feed injectors. The 2.0L JDM STi injectors are 550cc....so you can put them on a USDM WRX.

But the 2.5L USDM STi comes with 440cc side feed injectors. Therefore you can't put the 2.0L JDM STi 550cc top feed injectors on the USDM STi.
