I'd say it's somewhat on the quiet side, about the same as my prodrive axleback, just not as deep. It was one of my favorite exhausts, and I liked how the inlet flange was made. It allowed you to run a downpipe with a flat flange or donut gasket, without leaks. However, it is not a straight through design (baffled I think is the term), but the restriction is minimal and shouldn't make a difference unless you're making 300+ whp.

Btw, a catback shouldn't void your warranty at all unless they prove that it was the cause of a problem.

I love my SPT cat-back exhaust. Nice and deep, not too loud, no droning on the highway.

And this comes from a Mustang owner as well!

I'll have to disagree with that. $485 seems like a pretty good deal on an OEM performance exhaust system to me. Especially when compared to some of the brand named catbacks out there.

I love my spt exhuast. I've had it almost a year with no regrets. Still looks brand new too. I installed it myself with basic tools in about 15 min. As for performance gains there really isn't much. I mean it feels slightly better but nothing huge and nothing that is all that noticable; but thats going to be with any cat back so it has nothing to do specifically with it being spt. As for price I'd check the classifieds and ebay. I got mine off ebay for 300 from a guy who had it on his car for a couple months and then sold his wrx. Sound is great and it's not loud at all. My Z's are pretty loud, especially my 280z, so this time around I wanted something quiet. For the suby it doesn't get any quieter than the spt. It's loud enough to know you have exhuast but thats about it. Perfect if you want to hear your engine but don't want any attention.

plus, in my opinion, i like how it doesn't look like an out of place angled fat can like many aftermarket exhausts.

some guy is gonna sell his to me for 300 is this a good deal? The only problem is I want a really loud exhaust. I was considering a blitz nur spec r or invidia racing exhaust. Should i wait and save up for one of those or just get the SPT one for really cheap.
