warm/idle: 40-50 PSI
highway speeds: 75-80 PSI

Those numbers are right where my engine builder/tuner and I want them. However, my engine (EJ257 Hybrid) is far from stock so your ideal numbers maybe a little different.

If you want more numbers or more exact ones, I can do a more thorough check when I go out tomorrow.

well mine are
70-80psi warm at highway speeds
but only about 20-25psi warm at idle sometimes as low as 15psi on really warm days
is that too low for a 2006 wrx with almost 80,000

the rule of thumb with oil pressure is 10psi for every 1,000 RPM's, remember that to much oil pressure is a bad thing as well. When you see after market oil pumps you are looking for high volume since a pump doesnt make pressure it makes volume.
