new to wrxs...

well im new to the whole subie thing cause my gf has an 06 wrx and she wants to make it faster but i dunno what the first thing to tell her to get is, and she doesnt like to get on these forums.

with me being an evo owner she wants to make her car faster and i dont know the first thing what she can get.

but she says she likes to hear my evo spool up loud.

so im open for suggestions on what she can get to make her car a fun car for her to drive.

thanks

She could start with some better tires, for better handling. Then some type of EM for at least a stage one set up. Then start looking for a TBE and that shoud make her a little happier.

NO COLD AIR INTAKE the bends in the tube before maf cause turbulance and throw readings off causing lean events. if you must Aem is one of the better ones. Engine management, then turbo back exhaust. she will want your d__ after those upgrades.

Read before you buy an intake. Not needed until after 350HP. Cobb and SPT are two of the best out there. EM for stage one, or you could just buy the TBE and then get a protune and not need EM really. EM is just a way to change or switch maps if you ever feel the need to.

yea see for evos the stock airbox is fine for any setup.

for tires shes planing on buyin some different rims and tires so that will be taken car of soon.

but she has been wanting a TBE cause shes seen the difference my car performs with one. shes been reading alot on the Cobb AP and shes been likin what shes been reading about it. she likes the Invidia N1 and the Greddy Ti-C, but do yall have any good exhaust setups that are good. cause i was reading about how certain DPs cause boost creep and thats the last thing i need to happen to her.

but all in all she loves her WRX cause she went from an 05 RSX Type-S to her subie and she loves it.

but keep the suggestions coming.

thanks

Boost creep is a mechanical problem. It will more than likely happen with any DP. EM or a protune can solve this. You can also adjust your wastegate, or change your vaccuum line and restrictor pill. If you search Cobbs website or on hear you can find out how to do any of these things.

An easy mod for that is to remove the intake silencer.
