new turbo, oil leaking, can i do this

Hey guys i just dropped in a fpgreen and im leaking oil not sure where but i think its the oil return line. When i check under the car it runs down the up pipe stud under the downpipe and drizzles down, and some oil also drizzles down onto the crossmember where the bushings are.

Can i just take out that whole rubber oil return line, buy a new rubber one from autozone but cut it a bit longer? reason im asking is i wonder if i can just put a longer hose onto the turbo first, clamp it, and then drop it down and connect the oil return line onto the hard line.

The traditional way is to drop the turbo and somehow wiggle the oil return on the hose thats already there but it was such a pain and i bet i didnt get it on all the way so im wondering if i can do it opposite, put it on the turbo first then drop the whole thing and connect it under the bottom of the car but i was wondering if anyone else has done this with success and if its easier or harder than slipping it on from the top.

I dont see why you couldnt do it. I was also leaking oil from the return line but my leak was more of a oozing onto the Up pipe that didnt leave any marks on the drive way just burned off. You might be all the way on it just not tightening the clamp enough, that was the fix for me.
