New 07 WRX, warranty etc..

Just picked up a new 07 WRX sedan couple days ago . The dealer told me there are only 3 mods that can be done that won't void factory warranty.

Does anyone have a list of mods which won't void factory warranty ? I'm going to take a guess and say alot of the time its at the dealers discretion if they will warranty depending on a particular mod and what your personal relationship with them is etc? Or are they all pretty sticky when it comes to this stuff?

I'd like to do as much as possible to it, but it would be nice if a warranty issue came up it's not a battle to get it resolved.

Thanks!

well when i got my 07 the parts manager said i could do a cat back no prob. So thats one that wont void your warranty. IM guessing one of the others is the SPT intake. Im not sure what the third can be.

You guys suck at using the Search function. It is your friend!

how would they know?

There is good info in that thread as well as many other on here. Search and get some good answers and opinions.

To answer directly, They will warranty the work that they do, with their parts. If you put on an aftermarket TBE or even CBE, its a gamble.. You could always change back to stock if you need work done...

I use search all the time bro.. I guess I just wanted to have a discussion about it without hijacking threads.

Regardless, the 3 my dealer offers without warranty issues are, greddy cat back, stp intake and third is an aftermarket blow off. I can't remember which brand/model they use but i'm assuming its a mod they are doing because of many customer requests for a change in sound and not for the obvious reasons one installs ambv's.

I suppose alot of people are doing more extreme mods and swaping them out if warranty work is required but I could see this being a great deal of pain for the average person whos done a mod that would require a re-tune once removed..

Thanks for the responses guys..
