wow if he can truely tune a car via email on the stock ECU after serious engine/turbo/fuel mods, he's truely a master.

how is it any different from tuning on a dyno? he tweaks the map jave logs it and sends it back. it would take a very long time but still i dont see the difference...

I tune that way with an opensource tuner in houston, it took about a week to tweak the maps, but since then, wow, i love my little rocket.

I went to install the cams last weekend and discovered I have a crack left intake cam. So I ordered a new one that was supposed to be in today, but never showed. So much for being done this weekend.

no. Long story on the cam. First the machine shop that did my heads thought that they were hydraulic so I had to take them back to get the valves ground properly so I could get valve lash within tolerance. I have fought the dealership on getting the correct cam since they swear up and down that the STi cam they sent me is correct when it looks nothing like the one I have. WE finally discovered that my car(which I bought in Oct 2004 with only 8 miles on it) was actually built in march of 03 so I have 03 cams in m 04 heads(buckets instead of shims). SO this weekend I will hoefully be getting everything installed.
