KB Rear Shifter Install

Ok i bought the kartboy short shifter and front and rear bushings. Great purchase, how ever i am having some serious issues with the rear bushing.

Once i put on one bolt, it seems that i cannot put the other bolt in with out stripping the hole or bolt. The ones that kartboy came with, one went in and one would not.

So i bought another bolt from home depot, and tried to put it in the second hole, and ended up breaking the bolt inside the hole.

in the picture i am attaching it would be the bolt on the right.

Please help, is it the bolt hole??? is it the size of the bolt??? is it the bushing???

After i get that bolt piece out, (no clue how) should i go with a shorter smaller bolt or should i just force the bolt that kartboy sent with the bushing?

thanks for any and all help.

p.s. i did research this but there has been nothing current or with the same issue i am having. Everyone else seemed to have no issues

I think you're going to have to drill the broken bolt piece out of the hole, but good luck with that because if I remember right, it's a rather tight space to work in. Once you get the bolt out, if the threads are striped, your best bet is to try to tap a new, slightly larger, set of threads and then use a little bit bigger bolt. That's the only way I can think of to fix it. I'm sorry to hear you had this problem though... sounds like somewhat of a freak accident. Good luck!
