jdm on ebay

I saw a jdm n1 catback exhaust on e-bay any thoughts? So What does jdm mean(I thought it was a brand name) and what is the difference between an A'pexi and jdm? Adding on to this post the ebay seller said that the jdm n1 catback will fit my down pipe and if it doesn't or I don't like it he will give me my money back. Should I do this or just go with something else I would like to know if anyone else has any problems with this product.

I just bought coilovers from the same seller. Hes legit and responds to email within the same day. I think its ok to buy catbacks off of ebay. I bought my catback off of ebay a year ago and no problems. When it comes to the downpipe and uppipe, Id go with gruppe-s. Usually my rule is buy things that dont have moving parts and arent essential to the function of your car off of ebay, if you can get a good deal.

Yo krunch, if you get it, let us know how it works out, I think it looks alright, but what do I know, I have no experience with that particular exhaust. But i might go for it, if you gopher it first.

Matthew
Wow, it can turn well too?

JDM catbacks do not fit with USDM downpipes FYI. Japan cars only have one cat in the downpipe and as a result are a few inches shorter than their USDM counterparts.

If you get a JDM catback you will need a JDM length downpipe to go with it. Don't want to see you make this mistake!

I can't tell from the ad if he is selling a JDM length catback or if he's just saying JDM because it is A'pexi. You need to make certain.

So What does jdm mean and what is the difference between an A'pexi and jdm? I might just go with something different if thats the case.

JDM means Japanese domestic model (or there abouts). It's the stock part from a japanese WRX. In this case however, I think it's a knockoff. He says "Japanese Design", which means something different than JDM.

Anyway, I have to laugh at the 4.5" 'ticket me pls' tip

They put "JDM" in the title so that when you search for "JDM" parts, their auction comes up. He would not be selling parts for JDM Impreza's in the US.

well, I've ordered the catback (what the heck, if I don't like it he said I could send it back with a full refund.) I'll let you all know how it is. The 4 and 1/2 in comes with a silencer at the end that is removable (which I will remove). I would also like to thank you all for the insight

Cool man , I hope it works out for you.

For what it's worth,

JDM = Japanese Domestic Market. USDM = United States Domestic Market.
