Injen SP1202 cold air intake...

Hey guys, newb here....

I've done a search for CAI's and found most of the discussions revolved around whether or not to buy one....

Well, unfortunately, I've already purchased one and had it installed.... and now my car is running like shit.... I don't know if there is something I can do to improve this before I just decide to rip it out? Basically and maybe this is just psychological, but the car doesn't pull as well as it used to under boost.... I have a 2006 WRx, in 3rd gear at 3k, when I used to floor it, I used to get a good kick out of the car..... now that's gone.... from 3rd to 5th gear, it almost feels like it's boosting less.... is this possible?

What should I do? should I have purchased a K&N Typhoon as opposed to an Injen SP1202? should I bring it to a tuner? I really don't want to rip it out just yet because I don't like the idea of wasting money, but I will do it if that is my last alternative....

Please help a stupid newb

VF39
GM 3 port BCS
STI tmic
Walbro fuel pump
XPT stage 3 map

and you`ll be fine. Or just go to a tuner that does well with CAI, some don`t like them!

BJJ for the win!

Sorry to bring this thread back up, but I have an additional question....

My cold air intake is still giving me problems and I still haven't removed it yet.... I have heard that the original intake tubing is only 2 inches and my current one is 2.5 inches.... I spoke to a Subaru performance division of my local dealership and they told me that the CAI will not work if the diameter is not the same as the original.... does anyone know if the original intake tubing is really 2 inches on a 2006 wrx? the guy wasn't absolutely sure and I don't have the original tubing anymore

no the pipe is not the only issue. The intake itself has a crappy design for your car. GET RID OF IT!
