The Oil thing I thought was all years. And same with the idle. The reasoning for that is to let the turbo cool down before shutting down the engine. Since the WRX's have water-cooled turbos, you don't necessarily need to do this. (unless you just ran your car really hard and in boost a lot) Correct me if i'm wrong please.

And GL with the Stage2 ! You will enjoy the car soooo much more then.

well yea i know why you let it cool down... so the oil doesnt coax in it.. someone just told me there was somethign different with the 06+ that you dont have to let it... and yea only if you heat up the turbo.... yea i def. want to go stage 2... wanna compare how feels against my 04 wrx stage 2...

As far as I know, you don't have to wait AS LONG to let it "cool down" compared to other vehicles, but I doubt you don't need to let it cool on the 06-07. If i'm wrong someone, forgive me. I'm sure mosc, or someone else will have a better answer for you.

It's not so much the fact that it IS water cooled that it doesn't need a cool down period, so much as the fact that there is a seperate cooling reservoir above the turbo that will continue to feed water after it is shut off.
