Good Idea?

is it possible to get a bigger front mount and not tunning the car right away? i am saving some money to get a front mount (possibly turboxs?) but i prabobly wont be able to tune it right away. i just ordered cobb donpipe and i got basics like intake bov and cat back. let me know what you all think...thank you.

You wont get any "performance" out of the setup without a tune done after the installation. Really no need to get a FMIC if you are still running the stock turbo.

im def getting the tune. i just think it would be a good idea to get all the parts that i want and than i want to tune it. i just worry that i might hurt my car if i put all this stuff on my car and drive it like that. and yea i know i should just get a bigger top mount but the front mount just looks so great...

it won't hurt anything to drive it to the tuner shop like that

Personally I think (you did ask) that you should learn more about the mods you're doing. The FMIC and BOV are not going to be beneficial at all. In fact, they'll take away power, cause headaches, and cost you money.

the bov is not installed right now. it actually is a turbo xs diverter valve for when i reflash my ecu and increase the boost. i will most definitelly look more into replacing my intercooler. i know that top mount would be a better idea with a stock turbo. i like how the front mount looks like but at the same time i dont want to do unnecessary things to my car and im def not willing to loose power.

if it is a nice (read:expensive) blow off valve, sell it and you will have more money to put toward the front mount inter-cooler from CSS (he's a vendor on this site) which is a lot! cheaper than tuboxs. And then get a vf39 or vf43 (sti turbo) used for under $400.
Since you already ordered the down pipe, order the rest of the above for around $800 and save more money for a great tune--it will bring so much fun! My opinion...

drive = freedom

You wont loose any power with a fmic as long as you get a tune, you will just gain some turbo lag.

generally, power = integral area under the torque curve, not peak hp.

so yes, it'll cost him "power".
