FMIC feedback

Hey guys- I'm just wanting some feedback from those who installed themselves and are running a FMIC on an 06 or 07 WRX. I am looking for a good one, but am price sensitive and still want ease of install (no cutting, fitament issues) and not much lag. I will be upgrading the turbo in the future also. Suggestions??

You will get more lag with any FMIC compared to a TMIC. The difference between the FMIC would be immpossible to measure... Or, pretty damn close to where its retarded to measure.

I will say this to everyone... SSAutochrome FMIC... $295 shipped. No fitment issues.

Installing a fmic with the stock turbo would be like installing a turbo back exhaust system with no EM. No benefit, and pure over-kill.

Would it really be over kill though? ### the hood scoop, to my understanding, is ineffective after 80 MPH and air is actually coming out of the scoop. So in my mind it would make sense to go with FMIC if you were to mod it.

When are you going more than 80 MPH on a daily basis? Depending on your turbo application the TMIC will limit you supposedly, but that depends on what you are looking for or using.

Incorrect. I ran a TBE with no EM for about 4 months with a good increase, and then flashed to stage 2 and the grin from the intial install came back.

Yeah I was just going to say that Jave... That is a horrible analogy, Okeyd57.

Plus, I understand how turbocharged cars work. However, the cost involved with upgrading the turbo is not in my budget right now- so I am going step by step- and the next step is an FMIC

OK but dont install it until you get the other supporting mods and the turbo or you will not be happy with the lag.
