exhaust difference question

i know this is probably a stupid question but i need an answer.. so these are both the hks hi power for subaru . but the one i just got in for my 06 wrx is the second pic i can visually see the towards the end of pipe is different but y are they differnt

Are you looking at the bend after the last flange? To me it looks like the top is a "JDM" style (angles out from the back of the car) and the one that you have doesn't bend as far so it probably is straight out the back.

I think he's talking about the resonator. Honestly I don't know why they are different, but you shouldn't worry about it. It's really no big deal. At least you've got a flex.

yea those are two totally different exhausts, the one at the top has that weird cannister looking resonator while the pic at the bottom just has the widenned piping-resonater. Like WReXed said at least you have the flex fit. Basically you have a different resonator and a flex fit.

ya i mean towards the end mines got that flex piece on it not the big can thing. so is there any major difference between those two pieces? like sound, air flow or anything and i know i ask alot but ### does JDM stand for

They look the same to me, so I imagine they should sound similarly, if not identically. JDM stands for Japanese domestic market.

Top one is probably for a different car . Its just a refrence pic . Shows the muffler and what not . No way that shoe box will fit under the Suby

yea idk how it sounds my car has been in subaru collision center some drunk girl rammed my a$$ and destroyed the back of my car. and the insurance quoted it later and only gave me $1200 for it . then subaru called and said they found many more things wrong with it .. like a cracked frame or something and now insuranse guy has to come back
