EJ20 to EJ25

Hi i was wondering if someone could help me. A friend of mine is selling his Greddy power extreme 2 cat back exhaust off his 04 wrx. Does any one know if this exhaust will suit my car (07 wrx) even though his motor is a 2.0L and mine a 2.5L. I know it actually does fit but will the engine have any repocussions or run sluggish or anything.

Hopping all you experts out there can help

It will be fine. What reprocussions might you expect from something like that anyway?

Not really sure. Only reason i ask is because most places who sell exhausts usually have one product for the ej20 and another for the ej25.

And thus the magic of marketing!!!

You shouldnt have any problems.

I have been told that the 06-07 WRX and the STi have the same exhaust. The only difference is the DP. That was from a Cobb Tech.

My buddy was selling his STi exhaust and I was all down to buy it, and then I did my research and found that little tidbit out. It just seemied like the exhaust had a ton to do with the extra 70 hp that the STi had. Guess not as much as I thought.
